13 Ways to Exfoliate Naturally

Exfoliants help to keep the skin clean and free of impurities. Also, they remove dead cells. Exfoliation improves skin texture, unclogs the pores and can reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

It is important to always moisturize the skin before exfoliating to avoid damaging the capillaries.

Recipes natural skin exfoliants

Coffee as an exfoliant

Add some coffee to a cleansing cream. Moisten face and apply in a circular motion. Wash with warm water.

Milk-based exfoliant and oats

Thoroughly mix 2 tablespoons of powdered milk, half a cup of ground oats and a teaspoon of cornstarch. Add water gradually to form a paste. Let the mixture stand for a minute. Apply the mixture on the face and neck with a massage. Flush with water.

Scrub granola

Make a paste with half cup of granola mixed with a little hot water. Moisten face and apply it on the skin with circular motions. Wash with warm water.

Flaxseed and honey scrub

To keep the elbows and knees soft and beautiful mix 1 cup honey with 1/2 cup of warm water. Add 25 grams of flaxseed and stir until a paste. Put the dough in the refrigerator for three hours. Rub elbows and knees with paste and let it sit for three minutes. Wash with distilled water.

Natural exfoliating brown sugar

Mix some jaggery with cleansing cream. With wet face, apply the mixture in a circular motion. Wash with warm water.

Sugar and lemon to exfoliate the skin

Put two tablespoons of sugar in a cup and add the juice of half a lemon. After washing your face, the face still wet, apply the mixture to your face in circular motions. Leave on for 5 minutes and wash with warm water.

Buttermilk and salt

Mix whey (buttermilk) with table salt until a paste. Moisten face and apply the mixture in a circular motion. This natural exfoliant will help reduce open pores.

Exfoliate your skin with honey and oats

Mix a quarter cup of oatmeal with one teaspoon of honey. After washing your face, still damp face, apply the mixture and let it sit for 15 minutes. Rinse with warm water.

Lemon peel

An exfoliating sugar with lemon is very effective to remove dead skin.

Natural sugar scrubs and olive oil

Mix 1/4 cup sugar with 3 tablespoons of olive oil. Apply it all over the body with a circular massage while bathing.

Rosehip Scrub

This scrub is special to remove crow’s feet. A tablespoon of dried rose hips (rosehips) in 1/2 cup boiling water is poured. Let stand for 15 minutes and allowed to cool. Smear on crow’s feet with a finger and left on for 3 minutes. Remove with a wet piece of cloth.

Scrub to remove blackheads

Salt blackhead scrub. Mix one tbsp. of sea salt, 1 Tsp lemon juice and 1 Tsp. distilled water in a bowl. Apply this scrub on your face and gently scrub for 5-10 minutes in circular motion. Salt removes dead skin and excess oil from face which eventually prevents blackheads.

Scrub the whole body

This natural exfoliating is good for all skin types and can be used whenever desired. It is especially good for areas that have made them calluses, leaving them smoother. It is also a natural remedy to remove corn.

All that is needed is a quarter cup of sea salt and a quarter cup of coconut oil or olive oil. the two ingredients are mixed well and the body is massaged (skin should be moist) using the mixture.

Do not rub the skin, just massage it until Rosadita sets. Rinse with warm water and dry with a towel.

Chocolate Body Scrub

Recipe Stir 1/2 cup sugar, 1/4 cup canola or grapeseed and two tablespoons of cocoa powder. Pour it into a jar with a lid.
