The transmission is often called the gearbox, it is the part charged with powering the wheels by connecting them with the engine. Automatic and Manual Systems
This cannot be neglected when discussing this concept in cars. The automatic system is designed such that the driver doesn’t have to change gears. The manual system empowers the driver with more control with the selection and switching of gears.

The hydraulic system uses the fluid to pressurize the car, hence keeping it on the move.
Planetary Gear Sets
It consists of a central gear known as the sun gear and other two gears described as planet gears, held together by a ring. With the sun gear maintaining a constant position while the planet gears keep finding their way around it. That brings the solar system to mind, right? Hence its name. The revolutions per minute ratio (RPM) of a car’s engine is kept in the right range by the planetary gear sets. These gears also connect the input shaft to the RPM.
